The ACO is starting off the 2011 Season with a program that only be described as “quintessentially ACO!” Elgar’s ravishingly beautiful Introduction & Allegro highlights a program of all-British music. From Purcell’s Baroque suite of incidental music to the play Abdelazar to E. J. Moeran’s little-known 20th Century masterpiece that is reminiscent of Vaughn Williams in its use of folk songs, this is a concert that you won’t want to miss!
