1. Where were you born? Tell us a little about your youth and upbringing.
I was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 1983, and began playing cello at age 6. My mother is a cello player, my father is a businessman and my sister plays violin.
2. Earliest musical memories?
My best musical memories are when I saw the cello for the first time and when I started playing.
3. Your education? Where did you attend college, primary teachers?
1990-2001 Uspenskiy Special Music School for Gifted Children- Professor Olga Plotnikova
2001-2003 Ashrafi Conservaotry in Tashkent - Professor A. Mansirev.
2003-2006 University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich, Germany- Professor R. Ginzel.
2006-2008 Lynn University Conservatory of Music (Professional Performance Certificate) - Professor O.Cole.
Currently attending Lynn University (Master's Program).
4. Why did you choose your instrument?
My mother is a cellist.
5. When did you know you wanted to be a professional musician?
I understood that cello was my life when I began playing cello at age 6.
6. Who were/are your most important musical influences?
My first and the most important musical influence is my mother, and then my friends and colleagues.
7. Most inspiring composers?
My favorite composers are Tchaikovsky, Bach and Vivaldi.
8. What would you be if not a musician?
Now it is hard to think about anything else but music. I think I could have been a psychologist or a doctor.
9. Your favorite thing about playing in the ACO?
I love the ACO! I like the musicians, the quality of the Orchestra. I like the environment, and of course, the Conductor Stewart Robertson.
10. With what other ensembles do you perform/where do you teach?
I perform with Lynn Philharmonia Orchestra and with Boca Raton Symphonia.
11. What is in your CD player right now?
In my computer right now is Tchaikovsky Symphony No 6.
12. What do you like to do outside of work/hobby/pastimes?
I love learning languages, reading and cooking.
