Directions from I-95:
- Exit I-95 at exit #147 (Vero Beach/SR 60).
- East on SR 60 for approximately 10 miles.
- South on Indian River Boulevard.
- East over the East Causeway Blvd. (17th Street Bridge).
- South on A1A.
- Continue on A1A for approximately 2 ½ miles.
- Turn right at the traffic signal; the Waxlax Center is on the west side of A1A
- Handicapped parking is available for those requiring assistance.
About the Waxlax Center:
The Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts is located on the Saint Edward’s Upper School campus near the Atlantic Ocean in Vero Beach, Florida. Completed in 2000 and made possible by the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne and Heidi Waxlax, this impressive facility is an 808-seat, 68’ proscenium-thrust, sprung stage with the reputation of being a first-class performance venue. Known for its rich, precise acoustics, unobstructed viewing, and comfortable seating, The Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts is fully accessible with special locations available for wheelchair seating. The Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts is the home for many prestigious Treasure Coast organizations including the Atlantic Classical Orchestra and the Vero Beach Opera, who showcase their seasons in the Waxlax Center. Performers as diverse as cabaret artist Michael Feinstein, the Woody Herman Orchestra, opera’s leading dramatic soprano Debra Voight, Broadway diva Linda Eder, Martha and the Vandellas, and John Tesh have graced our stage.
